Our holiday music workshops are designed for school-aged children from Year 2 to Year 10 (ages 6-14). Whether your child is brand new to the guitar, or ukulele or they have prior experience, these workshops provide a fun way to learn new skills and make lasting friendships. Led by passionate instructors, your child will explore their musical potential in a supportive environment.

Junior Workshop
Year 2 - Year 5 (ages 5 - 9)
One day workshop: Wednesday 2nd July (week 1)
Timeframe: 9am - 1pm
Price: $55 (discounts for siblings)
Ukulele and bucket drums
Basic chords, popular songs, and beginner-friendly drumming patterns
No instrument experience required

Crafts Day - Miss Julz
Miss Julz, from Jersey Girls, brings years of experience working at Maihiihi School. Known for her creativity and kindness, she runs much-loved craft clubs and holiday workshops in the Maihiihi and Ōtorohanga area. We’re thrilled to welcome her to Instrumental NZ where she will be in Cambridge running one of her incredible holiday craft sessions!

Looking for a meaningful holiday activity for your child these April school holidays? Our one-day junior and senior workshops are perfect for Year 2 to Year 10 students (ages 6-14).
These holidays, for the senior workshop, Sacha is teaming up with a skilled tutor Lance. Both are experienced teachers and accomplished musicians. Together, they’ll lead a structured, hands-on day filled with music, creativity, and fun. Students will develop new guitar skills, take part in engaging musical activities, and build confidence in a supportive environment.
This one-day guitar holiday workshop offers a dynamic and engaging experience, where kids will learn, grow, and be inspired through a well-structured day of music.
